Introduction

The increasing demand for reliable measurement results increases the need for a responsible assessment of the uncertainty in measurements and/or measuring systems. The training is a practical translation of the EA-4/02 document. Intended for anyone who has to deal with measurements and uncertainties and who has to interpret measurement differences. Using a recipe/guideline, the teachers will take you through the entire process of making an uncertainty calculation. Attention is paid to sources of uncertainty that can influence the measurement results and you will learn to process information in an uncertainty table.

Results

  • Being able to independently determine relevant sources of uncertainty, both statistical and non-statistical in nature.
  • Be able to process these into a measurement uncertainty that can be interpreted unambiguously.

Intended Audience

This three-day course is intended for anyone who has to deal with measurements and uncertainties and who has to interpret measurements and measurement differences.
