Introduction

A first introduction to metrology often leads to many questions. Searching for answers is difficult and time-consuming. The basic General Metrology training provides more background information about the
science of measurement, so that this knowledge can be used in practice. There the participant will be able to immediately identify potential measurement problems and take appropriate measures.

Results

After following the General Metrology training at VSL, the participant is familiar with:

  • All contemporary developments in the field of metrology.
  • The foundations and basic principles of metrology.
  • Recognizing the design of quality systems and concepts in metrology
  • Uncertainty analyses

To achieve this, VSL provides a professional trainer with experience and knowledge of practical examples during this training. Naturally, there is plenty of room for your own practical examples and questions, so that participants can apply the knowledge they have acquired. After the training, the theory will be supplied in the form of a reference work.

Intended Audience

This training is intended for anyone involved in measuring, such as administrators of technical instruments, employees of measuring rooms, calibration laboratories or maintenance services and quality employees.
